ASHLEY HATHAWAY
Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Certified G.A.P.S. Practitioner

My focus of practice is overall health and well-being with an emphasis on the GI system (digestion, IBS, bowel disease, food intolerance, allergies, GERD, and gallbladder function) in addition to immune conditions, weight management, blood sugar regulation and G.A.P.S. / SCD diets.
I work with adults and children of all ages, in health or illness.
I obtained my NTP certification through The Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc.

The NTA's Philosophy: "The myriad of health problems that plague modern society result from weaknesses in the body's physiological foundations as a result of poor nutrition. As an education organization, NTA is dedicated to helping individuals and healthcare professionals understand and reverse the tragic and unsuspected effects of the modern diet on their patients and clients".
I obtained my G.A.P.S. Practitioner Certification from Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD

"The GAPS diet is based on the work of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. She discovered the SCD Diet (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) and took it a step further by describing the gut-brain connection in the book Gut and Psychology Syndrome. Her patients coined the term GAP Syndrome or simply GAPS. The diet became known as the GAPS Diet. The diet captures Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s experience and knowledge of nutrition and the use of probiotics". http://gapsdiet.com
Nutritional Therapy is a rapidly growing field within the healing arts. From simple imbalances to chronic disease, it is a holistic therapeutic approach to healing the body using nutrient-dense whole foods and natural supplements.
I also hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson and have additional experience with first-aid and emergency medical care. I currently live in San Francisco with my husband Tim and our dog Dixie. My private practice "San Francisco Nutritional Therapy” is located on Chenery Street in the heart of the Glen Park neighborhood of San Francisco.
